Sign up for these amazing free workshops with one of our guest judges. Workshops are open to all dancers age 12 and up with a minimum of 2 years of competitive dance experience. Dancers are required to sign up for these workshops in advice through our ADC facebook page or on location. A minimum number of enrollment will be required.
Jacques Monfiston is a professional dancer, teacher, international adjudicator, world choreographer and dance consultant. He has been in the entertainment industry for over 10 years and continues to perform smash hit shows when his schedule permits. When Jacques is not performing on stage, he is busy teaching, choreographing or adjudicating around the world. He is the current Canadian Judge at the World Dance Championships for tap, jazz and modern. Some of the dance competitions he has adjudicated are Rising Star, Fever Dance Championships, C.N.D.C, Manitoba Dance Festival, Surrey Dance Festival and of course the prestigious World Tap Dance Championships, World Showdance Championships and World Jazz-Ballet-Modern Championships. Sarah is a highly motivated performer, choreographer, and dance teacher with over twenty years training in many disciplines. After taking her first ballet class at the age of four, she continues to develop her craft and expand her knowledge in the world of dance.
Sarah has performed for Lady Gaga (MMVA’s), as well as the Canadian Opera Company’s Nixon in China and Aida. Sarah’s theatrical credits include: Guys and Dolls, Peter Pan, Dance Legends (Drayton), Legends (The Grand), and Cats (Stirling Theatre Festival). Sarah has also appeared on Canada’s TV show, Being Erica and will appear in Silent Hill II. Sarah has worked for Royal Caribbean cruise lines, where she danced aboard a ship and toured Bermuda, New England and the Eastern Caribbean. In the past she has also performed at fFIDA, Toronto’s week long dance festival.
Sarah attended Ryerson University’s theatre dance program where she achieved her BFA. She is also a qualified Tap and Jazz teacher under A.D.A.P.T., and a qualified acro teacher under P.A.E.C. She became an associate and member of the Royal Academy of Dance in 2001 after successfully completing her Advanced II Exam. Sarah continues to further her training with choreographers from NY and L.A.
In the past, Sarah has won various awards for her choreography and continues to teach at several schools and studios in and out of the Toronto area. Sarah is also the co-founder of Canada’s first agency for Dance teachers, Quick Ball Change. Good luck dancers, ‘Live the Dream!’
Justin Jackson is the NINE time Canadian Tap Dancing Champion of Canada & Quebec. All of his life he’s been surrounded by music. The constant humming of a tune and percussive tapping of his feet. I must say this is part of his everyday life. He is a Professional Tap Dancer with a background of other disciplines! Justin has won every top prize available in his age category more than once, at every competition he has attended at regional and national levels. Within six months of beginning tap classes, Justin was starring in live-action segments. Expect to be Inspired! At 20 years old; Justin has performed for the Mayor of Montreal Gerald Tremblay, Honored Canada’s Famous Leading Athlete Ben Johnson and was a former contestant on the hit show So You Think You Can Dance Canada season 3. He’s been awarded The Late Mr.Victor Phillips Award for Academic & Leadership Achievement in his community. Starred in The Nutcracker and Anything Goes Musical, performed for the Opening Ceremonies for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and was recently invited on The Wendy Williams Show to showcase his Talent for more than 700,000 viewers in New York City! Justin has been titled the BEST TAP DANCER IN THE WORLD by Celebrity Judge Mary Murphy. Dancing with the Stars participant Wendy Williams also tweeted about his amazing footwork and ability! He’s performed in The 2004 International Jazz Festival, Calliou Television show, Just for Laughs Comedy Series and was a featured artist in a dance documentary highlighting Canada’s premier dancers. Summer 2009 Justin was a private tap coach for a Billy Elliot performer for the New York Musical on Broadway.
